Besan is very beneficial for health. You must have eaten gram flour barfi or laddus many times, but have hardly tried gram flour pudding. This pudding is quite easy to make. Children will like this halwa of gram flour. You must make it.



Material:



  • 1 cup gram flour (finely ground)

  • 1/2 cup ghee

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 cups of water (or milk)

  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • 8-10 cashews, almonds (finely chopped)

  • 8-10 raisins (optional)



Method:


1. Fry gram flour:



  1. Heat ghee in a pan. When the ghee melts, add gram flour to it.

  2. Fry the gram flour continuously on medium heat. Fry it until the color of gram flour becomes light golden and it starts to smell. It can take about 10-12 minutes.


2. Create Sugar System:



  1. Put water (or milk) and sugar in a separate pan and heat it on medium flame. Cook it until the sugar dissolves completely. The syrup should not be too thick, it should be light.


3. Add gram flour and sugar syrup:



  1. When the gram flour is well roasted, add sugar syrup to it. Keep in mind that during this time keep running the gram flour continuously so that kernels do not become.

  2. Now reduce the heat and let the mixture cook well. Besan will absorb syrup and pudding will slowly become thick.


4. Add dry fruits and cardamom:



  1. Now add cardamom powder and chopped cashew nuts to the halwa. If you are using raisins, put it too.

  2. Keep stirring the halwa continuously until the ghee starts separating from the edges.


5. Serve:



  1. When gram flour pudding becomes thick and soft, turn off the gas.

  2. Serve the hot pudding with chopped dry fruits.


Method of serving:



  • Gram flour pudding is the best best. You can make it on festivals or special occasions.


Tips:



  • If you like pudding in even more ghee, you can increase the amount of ghee a bit.

  • Putting milk in syrup makes a special taste in halwa.
