Apart from cricketing skills, Shubman Gill's dating life is often a huge matter of discussion. The man balances his nonstop comparison with the modern-day legend Virat Kohli and references as the cricket god Sachin Tendulkar's son-in-law. The crowds have seen a number of times erupt with the cheers of Sara Tendulkar, Sachin Tendulkar's daughter's name, whenever they saw Gill on the boundary.

There is not just the Tendulkar offspring but namesakes and other names from various professions as well. In many previous interviews, Gill was asked about his dating life, and he clarified that he wanted to keep it personal. For the first time, he opened up. It was not just a mere clarification but made fun of the fact that he has yet to meet the rumored person. Speaking to Hollywood Reporter India, the 25-year-old batter said,

“I mean, I’ve been single for over three years, and so many speculations and rumours link me with different people. Sometimes, it’s so ridiculous that I would have never even seen or met that person ever in my life. I know I’m so focused on what I need to do in my professional career. There is no space in my life to be with someone. We are travelling somewhere around 300 days a year, so there is hardly any time to be able to be with someone or invest the time needed for a relationship."
