Tehran: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) revealed in a confidential report on Saturday that Iran has increased its uranium enrichment reserves to the weapon level. The IAEA has asked Iran to immediately change its stance and comply with the agency’s investigation. The IAEA report has come to light at a time when Iran and the US have held several rounds of talks about the possible nuclear deal.
US President Donald Trump is trying to reach an agreement in the case. This report of Vienna -based IAEA has been observed by the Associated Press. According to the report, till May 17, Iran had up to 60 percent of the uranium 408.6 kg, which is 133.8 kg more than the last report of February.
Iran just one step behind making atomic bomb
Iran is one step behind the 90 percent of the 90 percent of the uranium required to make nuclear weapons. A report in February reported that Iran has a repository of 60 percent of the decorated uranium 274.8 kg. There is no immediate comment from Iran on the new report of the IAEA. The IAEA report stated strict warnings that Iran is now the only non-nuclear weapon-rich country to produce such materials.
Iran can make hundreds of nuclear bombs simultaneously
The agency said that it is a matter of ‘serious anxiety’. According to the monitoring institution, if 60 percent of the decorated uranium is up to 90 percent more, then about 42 kg of uranium is sufficient to make a atomic bomb. The IAEA quarterly report estimated that by May 17, Iran had a total enhanced uranium reserves of 9,247.6 kg, including a low level of uranium. Thus, its total uranium reserves have increased by 953.2 kg after the February report.
Angry Benjamin Netanyahu
Iran claims that its nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes. However, IAEA chief Rafael Mariano Gersi has warned that Iran has sufficient reserves of uranium enhanced up to arms level, so that it can make many atomic bombs if he wants. Iranian officials are constantly indicating that their country may try to make atomic bombs. Meanwhile, Israel has reacted strongly to this report. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement that Saturday’s report is a clear warning that “Iran is completely firm to complete its nuclear weapon program”.
IAEA report revealed
The statement said that the IAEA report “adopted Israel’s stance over years confirms that the objective of Iran’s nuclear program is not peaceful. GRASI said on Saturday that he reiterates his immediate call for Iran’s complete and effective cooperation in the IAEA’s investigation on the residue of uranium found in several places in Iran. The IAEA has also shared another 22 -page confidential report with member countries on Saturday, which has been observed by the Associate.
