The documentary includes interviews with survivors and experts and the investigation that followed the devastating event.

The official Netflix synopsis for Grenfell: Uncovered reads: "Survivors, witnesses and experts tell the story of the tragic fire that engulfed a residential tower block in London - and the investigation that ensued."

Having been released today, June 20, viewers are already in tears after watching the hard-hitting documentary.

A third added: "Watching the Grenfell documentary on Netflix - absolutely heartbreaking. I still remember seeing it on the news, watching the old man wave out of his window. It'll stay with me for the rest of my life."

A fourth penned: "Powerful doco. To say I enjoyed it isn't really correct, but to dig into why it happened and how damning the evidence makes it essential viewing. I hope the victims and their loved ones get the justice they deserve."

Another viewer said: "Between watching the astroworld documentary yesterday and the Grenfell tower documentary today and my menstrual cycle. I've done a lot of crying lol."

One person commented: "Two minutes into the Grenfell tower documentary and I'm already crying/angry. That first responder on the phone needs to go to hell."

On Instagram, one viewer simply said they were "haunted". The hard-hitting Netflix documentary comes eight years after the deadly Grenfell Tower fire, which killed 72 people, including 18 children.

The film, directed by Olaide Sadiq and produced by James Rogan, Sandy Smith and Soleta Rogan, also calls for urgent action before another tragedy like this can happen again.

Around 90 minutes long, the documentary will also air previously unseen emails and interview footage.
