Delhi: Former India captain and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has recalled his tenure with Jai Shah. He said that when he started working on the board, he felt that Jai Shah would be strict and stubborn. But, his honesty and way of working was quite different and positive.

Ganguly and Jai Shah worked together from October 2019 to September 2022. This was the time when the world was struggling with Kovid-19 epidemic and cricket was also closed for several months. Ganguly said that Jai Shah definitely had strength and political support, but he used it to improve cricket.

Jai Shah told a sociable and thinking leader

Ganguly said that Jai Shah is a very associate and thoughtful person. He had his own different thinking and he always wanted to do something new. Ganguly told that when Jai Shah came to BCCI, he was very young but gradually he learned a lot and today he is the President of ICC.

He said that Jai Shah always supports the players and wants to take the game in the right direction. He said that he understands his responsibilities and always tries to work with principles.

Even today there is a strong relationship between Ganguly-Shah

Sourav Ganguly said that even today the relationship between him and Jai Shah is cordial. They sometimes meet, especially in ICC meetings. Ganguly is currently the chairman of the ICC Cricket Committee and Jai Shah has now become the youngest chairman of the ICC.

Ganguly said that the two also made some mistakes together, but never did nothing intentionally. He believes that Jai Shah wants the game to move forward and go in the right direction.
