Google Maps is one of the most popular navigation apps in the world today, but it has many features that most people do not know about. Not limited to just showing the way, this app can help you from saving parking to ordering food. Today in this article we will tell you about 7 such great features of Google Maps that can make your everyday journey even easier. Let us know...
Offline Maps- If you get stuck in a place where the internet does not work, then the offline map feature of Google Maps is very useful. To use it, first search for that place. Now tap on the three dots (More) given below. Click on "Download offline map" and download the map of the required area. To view the downloaded maps, tap on your profile icon in the top right corner and open "Offline Maps".
Translate Location- If you are going to a place where the language is not understood, then the "Translate" feature of Google Maps can help you. For this, open the place you want to translate. A speaker icon will appear next to the name or address. Tap on it and listen to the pronunciation of that place in your language.
Save parking- It is common to forget where you parked your car in a large parking lot or mall. Google Maps helps in this too. To use it, after parking, tap on your place (blue dot) on the map. Click on the “P” icon i.e. Save Parking. After this, you can add notes, set alarms, and also share the parking location.
Add stops- If you have to stop at many places (like when dropping friends home), then you can use the “Add stop” feature. For this, enter the route from one location to another. Tap on the three dots given on the top right and select “Edit stops”. Now you can add multiple stops and reorder them as per your choice.
Google Earth- There is a link to Google Earth in Google Maps itself, through which you can see the three-dimensional view of any place. For this, after searching the location, a photo-like icon and a rotating arrow will appear. Tap on it and you can see a 360° view of that place. You can scroll along the road and also understand the surrounding environment.
Order food - If you are hungry and have searched for a restaurant on Google Maps, then you can order food directly from there. For this, search for the restaurant. Slide down and tap on the “Place an order” option. Now you can order food through delivery apps or websites, although this facility is not available at every restaurant.
Save toll - Some routes have a high toll. Google Maps can also show you toll-free or low-toll routes. After entering the route, tap on the three dots above and select “Route Options”. Then turn on the “Avoid tolls” option.
