Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming horror comedy Sardaar Ji 3 will not be releasing in India because of Hania Aamir in the cast.

The Punjabi actor-singer has been facing a lot of heat due to Sardaar Ji 3 and he recently defended the movie, saying that they had no idea about the forthcoming events while making the film.

In a recent interview with the BBC, Diljit Dosanjh stated, “Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation sab theek tha. We shot this in February and then everything was fine. (When the film was made, everything was. We shot the film in February and everything was fine back then).”

He added, “Uske baad, bahut saari badi cheezen humare haath mein nahi hai. Toh producers ne decide kiya ki film obviously ab India toh nahi lagegi, toh overseas release karte hain. Toh producers ka bahut paisa laga hua hai aur jab yeh film bann rahi thi tab aisa kuch tha nahi. (After that a lot of things happened, which are beyond our control. The producer decided that the film will not be released in India, so they can release it overseas. They have invested a lot of money, and when the film was being made, nothing like this was happening).”

Diljit concluded by saying, “They know that there will be a loss because you're removing an entire territory. Even when I signed the film, everything was fine. Now, the situation is not in our hands. So, if the producers want to release it abroad, I support them.”

Interestingly, Diljit Dosanjh is also one of the producers of the movie.

A majority of fans said that Diljit Dosanjh has been fake since the beginning and he is saying all this just to gain sympathy.

One user commented, “I dont get it, Hania's part seems to not be a main role, since Neeru will obviously have the main role considering she is a senior actress in Punjab. Would it not have made more sense to just reshoot Hania's scenes with a different actress and release it in India as well ? It would have done so much more business and they could have avoided all this fiasco with banning and all happening. I mean Diljit must have anticipated this kind of reaction will come.”

One user replied to this, “He wants to create this thing that he is fighting for some kind of artistic freedom or blah blah sh*t. He doesn't believe that punjab belongs to india and yet he gets his fame by being an indian thats how other people recognise him from foreign countries.”

Another user replied to this, “Or atleast he can cut trailer in a way that didn't show her at all until film got released internationally but he took worst route possible and play innocent now.”

I know he doesn't feel even an ounce of shame/guilt or patriotism for his own country India . He doesn't care , for him only money matters. I despise this guy. One of the most fake celebrity. If he is in the movie Border 2 then we should completely boycott the movie like he did when Pak attacked gurudwara in India .”
