This time the reason is the rumours about the show’s two most popular characters – Jethalal i.e. Dilip Joshi and Babita ji i.e. Munmun Dutta.

It is being claimed on social media that both the actors have said goodbye to the show. But is it really so? Now in this whole matter, the producer of the show Asit Kumar Modi himself has come forward and told the truth and has tried to put a complete stop to the rumors.

Speaking in an interview, Asit Modi called all these reports baseless and false. He clearly said: “These days negative things spread very fast on social media. Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta are an important part of our show. Sometimes due to personal reasons, some actors are not able to shoot for some time, but this does not mean that they have left the show.”

Asit Modi also said that his show has always promoted positivity and family values. In such a situation, spreading such false news is not only wrong but also creates confusion for both the actors and the audience.

Actually, these rumours started when fans noticed that Jethalal and Babita ji were not seen on screen for a long time in the recent ‘Bhootni Track’. Due to this, people thought that maybe both the actors have said goodbye to the show.

This show is based on the column ‘Duniya Ne Undha Chashma’ by famous Gujarati writer Tarak Mehta. The character of Jethalal played by Dilip Joshi is considered to be the backbone of this show.
