Tirupati in India came in second with room rates costing at $37 and Hat Yai in Thailand ranked third with $39.

To compile the list, Agoda analyzed the average room rates of the top 10 destinations across nine markets in Asia based on accommodation bookings between March to May 2025 with a check-in date between June 1 and Aug. 31.

Known for its rich history and vibrant culture, Surabaya offers visitors a chance to explore its historic architecture, bustling markets, and delicious street food, according to Agoda.

The city is also a gateway to nearby attractions like Mount Bromo and Madura Island.

Da Lat in Vietnam’s Central Highlands ranked fourth and Iloilo in the Philippines rounded out the top five.

The rest were Kuching in Malaysia, Nagoya in Japan, Kaohsiung in Taiwan and Daejeon in South Korea.
