India’s leading educational institution Birla Institute of Technology and Science (Bits), Pilani is now going to add a new chapter in the field of education. BITS Pilani’s Chancellor and Birla Group President Kumar Mangalam Birla has announced that the institute has a state -of -the -art in Amravati in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of ₹ 1,000 crore AI+ Will set up the campus.

7,000 students will be enrolled in two phases

According to Birla, this new campus will be spread over 35 acres of land and will have graduate and postgraduate courses in advanced areas such as AI, machine learning, innovation and strategy. The project will be completed in two phases and it is expected that the campus will be operational by 2027. Overall, about 7,000 students will be enrolled here.

Heavy investment on physical structure and research

BITS Pilani is not only limited to the new campus, but it is also going to upgrade its existing physical structure with an investment of ₹ 1,219 crore. This investment will strengthen the long -term research and development capabilities of the institute. Vice Chancellor V. Ram Gopal Rao said that this initiative has been done keeping in mind research, innovation and global competition.

Launched Bits Pilani Digital Platform

The institute has also launched its own education technology platform called Bits Pilani Digital, which is fully based on industry-focused programs. According to Rao, in the next 5 years this platform will start a total of 32 programs including 11 degrees and 21 certificate courses.

Birla said, “These efforts are not only about the scale, but also about the creation of a transformative ecosystem that empower the learners, promote innovation and pursue inclusive development.” He further added, “This is not just an ad-tech platform, but it is an extension of BITS Pilani’s excellence and innovation, which reaches homes and communities across the country.”

Target to reach top 5 Indian and global top 100 institutes by 2030

BITS Pilani aims to include India’s top 5 and top 100 educational institutions around the world by 2030. For this, the institute is setting new standards in education, research, innovation and technology.
