Indonesia Strong Earthquake: The Tanimbar Islands, located in the South-Eastern Part of Indonesia, had a 6.8 magnitude earthquake on Monday. This information is given by the German Center for Geosciences. According to GFZ, the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km from the ground. The US Geological Survey has also confirmed the earthquake.

The atmosphere of panic spread in the area after a strong earthquake. However, no loss of life and property has been confirmed at the moment. The local administration is constantly monitoring the situation and the good news is that no tsunami warning has been issued. The area where an earthquake occurred is considered geographically very sensitive. The Tanimber Islands are part of the ‘Ring of Fire’ of the Pacific Ocean which is considered to be the most earthquake on Earth. Earthquakes and volcanic explosions occur in this area as many tectonic plates are found here.
