The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially released the schedule for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026. The national-level entrance exam for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) law programmes will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in an offline, pen-and-paper mode.
The CLAT 2026 application process will open on August 1, 2025, and remain active until October 31, 2025, giving candidates a three-month window to complete their registration on the official website — consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
A detailed official notification is expected soon, which will outline the syllabus, exam pattern, marking scheme, application fee, eligibility criteria, and other key details.
For PG courses: Applicants should hold an LLB degree with at least 45% marks, while SC/ST/PwD candidates require 40%.
In CLAT 2025, the application fee was ₹4,000 for General and OBC applicants, and ₹3,500 for SC, ST, and BPL candidates. A similar fee structure is expected this year.

Step 3: Use the OTP sent to your email to verify your account.
Step 4: Log in and fill out the application form, including personal, academic, and contact details. Choose up to three exam centre preferences.
Step 5: Upload scanned copies of all required documents.
Step 6: Pay the application fee using a debit/credit card or net banking.
Step 7: Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
