During the hearing, Supreme Court Justice Dipankar Dutta clarified that the court has admitted that the entire process did not violate the fundamental rights of the petitioner. The court said that the Chief Justice and the Investigation Committee had followed all aspects of the process including uploading photos and videos.
However, the Supreme Court also admitted that uploading the video was not a correct decision, but no legal decision was taken on it, as the move was not challenged in time.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had dismissed Nedmapara’s petitions in March demanding the investigation into cash seizures and demanding criminal action against Justice Verma in May.
Let me tell you that this dispute started when on March 14, burnt notes were found on Justice Verma’s exterior of New Delhi’s residence. The incident stirred judicial circles.
