What does the colour scarlet conjure? Warmth, boldness, memory - a quiet but confident presence. Scarlett House channels all of that and more. Not quite a bar, not just a café, and certainly not your average neighbourhood joint, it’s an all-day space where Mumbai unwinds, connects, and comes alive.
Four individuals with very different lenses imagined Scarlett House with one shared instinct. To build
something that felt personal in a city they call home.
Backed by Amit and Afsana Verma, hospitality expert Dhaval Udeshi, Bollywood actor Malaika Arora, design talent Malaya Nagpal, and coffee-and-community voice Arhaan Khan came together to create a space that reflects their passions and their collective craving for comfort. From a morning espresso and a soulful lunch, to cocktails that spark conversation and evenings that blur into art, Scarlett is a rhythm you can slip into. It adapts to your day without demanding your attention, much like home.
Food Philosophy
There’s a certain informality to the way food is plated and served, a reflection of how you would eat in someone’s home. Here, the dishes feel indugent without being overwhelming and always rooted in comfort and nostalgia. The ingredients are clean, cooked with care and backed by a philosophy of nourishment rather than excess.
A New Bar Culture
Scarlett claims to have India’s first Hydration Bar that offers flavoured waters, functional coolers, and smoothie-style blends crafted with ingredients that support mood, clarity, and restoration.
According to restauranteur Dhaval Udeshi, they have made special efforts in designing the cocktails as well as hydration bar and it is all done with a sense of responsibility.
Elated about the launch, Malaika says, "The idea is to make people feel comfortable. We have also included my Paneer Thecha dish in the menu which people are loving in Bandra's Scarlett House.'
