At this time, rain and floods in Uttar Pradesh have made people live. Especially for the last 15 days in eastern UP, continuous rains have completely disturbed life. The rivers are in spate, and the routine of the people is getting badly affected.

New phase of rain starts, holiday announced in schools

After getting mild relief on Wednesday, the rain has once again gained momentum. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in Varanasi and surrounding districts on Friday. In view of this, the DM of Varanasi has ordered all schools up to 12th to be closed on Friday. DIOS Bholendra Pratap Singh said that this order will be applicable to government schools as well as all schools of CBSE, ICSE, Sanskrit and Madrasa Board. All schools have been asked to strictly follow this order.

Meteorological Department Warning: Why is there so much rain?

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected on Friday in Varanasi due to increasing monsoon activity. Eastern and western winds are being conflicted due to the moving from the eastern direction of the cyclone to UP in the central west Bengal and North Odisha from the eastern direction and the western disturbance in northern Punjab. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rains due to the effect of moisture coming from the Arabian Sea. The weather may be slightly normal on Saturday and Sunday, but heavy rainfall is expected again on Monday.

Thursday’s rain increased cold, trouble due to water logging

From Thursday evening till late night, there was continuous rain in Varanasi, which made people feel light cold. Meteorological scientists say that the monsoon has slipped to the north due to the arrival of the active cyclone to the east and a conflict of western winds. Because of this, monsoon clouds continued till late night.

Due to continuous rains, there has been a problem of water logging in the low -lying areas of the city, due to which people are facing a lot of trouble. In flood affected areas, people are camping at the roofs of houses, and the rains have added their difficulties. In the afternoon, some areas like Jangambari, Godoulia, Chowk, Pakka Mahal, Pandeypur and Maidagin received rain, while the weather was clear in areas like Lanka, Assi, Saam Ghat, Rath Yatra, Sigra, Mahmurganj, Bhagwanpur and Durgakund.

How will the weather be the next few days?

The Meteorological Department has once again reiterated that heavy rains are expected on Friday due to the cyclone in West Bengal and North Odisha and the western disturbances of North Punjab. The weather may remain a bit calm on Saturday and Sunday, but again on Monday, heavy rain alert has been issued.
