Patna: The weather is expected to deteriorate on the occasion of Rakshabandhan in Bihar. In many parts of the state, the process of intermittent rain has been going on for the last few days, and now the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of fierce rain in 9 districts of the state on August 9. This warning has been released for Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar and Bhagalpur districts.
According to the Patna Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of brightening, thunderstorms and torrential rains in these districts. The department has advised local administration and common citizens to be vigilant. People have been appealed to stay in homes during bad weather and avoid any kind of unnecessary journey.

Such weather warnings on the holy festival like Rakshabandhan have affected people’s preparations. There is a movement in the markets, but the movement in many areas may be disrupted due to rain. The Meteorological Department has also stated that apart from these 9 districts, there can be a situation of cloud and thunderstorms in many other districts of Bihar. The department has ruled out the possibility of a major change in temperature within 3 to 4 days, but the mood of the weather may suddenly change.
