According to The Straits TimesNg shared the news on social media on Sunday, posting: “On July 19, 2025, I married my best friend @sabriiines.”

The couple chose Sintra for its multicultural architecture, which reflects their diverse backgrounds, with buildings blending Chinese, Islamic, and Indian influences.

The celebration, which featured Western, Indian, and Chinese attire, was attended by 70 friends and family members, including American comedian Jimmy O. Yang. Ng expressed his joy, saying: “Marrying Sabrina is the greatest achievement of my life.”

Ng and Ahmed’s engagement was announced in Dec. 2024, with photos taken in Taipei’s markets later featured in Vogue Taiwan.

The couple first met in 2022 when Ahmed, then working as corporate counsel for a luxury resort developer in Miami, attended Ng’s comedy show at one of the developer’s properties. She was drawn to his humor and charm. Their connection deepened after matching on a dating app, leading Ng to fly her to Boston for their first in-person meeting—an encounter where their flights landed simultaneously at the same terminal.

“Everything felt destined and easy,” Ahmed recalled.

By March 2023, Ng knew he wanted to make their relationship permanent, prompting them to move to London together. In April 2024, during a trip to Tokyo for cherry blossom season, Ng proposed at Inokashira Park, as he later revealed during an episode of his podcast, per Asiaone.

At 34, Ng rose to global fame in 2020 with his comedic critique of a BBC Food tutorial on preparing fried rice. Through his Uncle Roger character—a stereotypical middle-aged Asian man who humorously critiques cooking techniques—Ng gained millions of followers.

His YouTube channel now boasts over 10.4 million subscribers, with his videos amassing 1.8 billion views as of Sept. 2025.
