Tikamgarh news: Indicators and speed breakers were made after spending about one and a half lakh rupees at three black spot Palera’s Patpara Tigela, Karmasan Ghat of Baldevgarh and Banpur Road Muktidham in the district. After this, there was no major accident at these places in three years. In contrast, black spots are increasing due to ignoring security arrangements in other parts of the city.
Recently, three new black spots have surfaced near the Union Minister’s residence, new bus stand and hospital intersection in the city. In front of Idgah, the largest black spot has become 50 meters away near the Union Minister’s bungalow. According to local people, there have been six accidents in the last three months. On September 12, a woman was hit by a bike rider.
The main reason is the absence of speed breakers and barricades on the road containing the divider from the front of the gate of Nandishwar Colony. It has also made it difficult to cross the path on foot. On September 12, Shobha Singhal, a resident of Nandeshwar Colony and her daughter, were going to the market, when the woman collided with the bike driver and fell away. This problem becomes more serious at night.
Security arrangements are also incomplete at the main gate and hospital intersection of the new bus stand. The child died before due to high speed bikes outside the bus stand. Barricades were installed at the hospital intersection, but concrete steps were not taken to stop random movement of vehicles.
To prevent the entry of heavy vehicles in the city, pond immersion ghats, palate door slopes and gutter were installed near Ghanta Ghar. But these gutters were damaged by the collision of trucks. Four black spots built on the state highway are Baldevgarh Karmasan Ghat, Palera Patpara Tigella, Tikamgarh Patha Jataua Tigela and the new bus stand remain safe, but speed breakers in other intersections of the city have turned into pits.
Only speed breakers are effective measures to prevent accidents on Nandeshwar Colony main road. In this direction, the traffic department has sent a proposal to the district administration. It will be kept in the upcoming Road Safety Committee meeting.
Experts say that black spots are continuously increasing due to increasing vehicle number and negligence in the city. It is important that concrete steps should be taken in time, so that the safety of pedestrians and drivers can be ensured.
