Ingredients
Soaked chickpeas – 1 cup
Chopped onion – 1
Chopped tomatoes – 2
Ginger – 1-inch piece
Garlic cloves – 4-5
Red chili powder – 1 tablespoon
Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Coconut milk – 1/2 cup
Garam masala – 2 tablespoons
Oil – as needed
Salt – to taste
Recipe
First, clean and wash the chickpeas and soak them in water overnight.
The next day, put the chickpeas in a pressure cooker with water and cook until they are soft and thoroughly cooked.
This may take up to half an hour. Then, finely chop the onion, garlic, ginger, and tomato.
Now, add oil to a pan and heat it over medium heat. After the oil is heated, add finely chopped onion, ginger, and garlic and fry for some time.
- Stir fry them for 2 minutes. After that, add tomatoes and cook till they become soft. After this, mash them by pressing with the help of a spoon.
- After cooking for some time, add salt as per taste. Now boil the gravy for 5-7 minutes.
- After this, add boiled chickpeas to it and mix well. Finally, mix coconut milk in the pan and cook the chana tikka masala for another 2-3 minutes.
- Then turn off the gas. The delicious chana tikka masala can be served with paratha or rice.
