Digital Life Certificate: The central government has made a big change for pensioners. Now the government has made the process of submitting life certificate simpler and more convenient than ever before. For this you will not have to visit banks and other government offices. Now you can generate your life certificate sitting at home, absolutely free.

Life certificate is an important document which proves that the pensioner is still alive. It is mandatory to deposit it every year at a fixed time in Pension Disbursement Authority (PDA) like bank, post office or treasury. ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ is an Aadhaar-based biometric authentication system that allows pensioners to submit this certificate digitally.

Process to generate at home

There are mainly two methods available to generate Digital Life Certificate:

online method

1. Download Aadhaar Face RD and Jeevan Pramaan Apps

2. Open the Jeevan Pramaan app and ‘Register’ by filling Aadhaar number, mobile number, email ID, name and bank account number.

3. After registration, select ‘Generate Jeevan Pramaan’ option in the app.

4. Fill the pensioner’s information and the certificate will be generated after face scan.

offline method

If you cannot do the digital process yourself, there is also an offline option. Public sector banks come to your home and help in generating life certificate for a nominal fee. This service is also available at home through the post man of the post office, for which a nominal fee has to be paid.
