BBC's The Traitors is preparing to return to television screens, with applications now open for the next series. Within hours of Thursday's (November 6) celebrity finale, viewers were demanding for more of the addictive programme.
Across four intense weeks, audiences witnessed celebrities navigate nerve-wracking challenges, dramatic roundtables and devastating betrayals.
Comedian and Traitor Alan Carr was visibly moved after emerging victorious in the hit reality programme.
Breaking down in tears after winning the series hosted by Claudia Winkleman, Alan, 49, left his Faithful co-stars stunned by his admission, reports Wales Online.
Alan had operated as a Traitor from day one, working alongside Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns. Jonathan left several episodes earlier through banishment, whilst Cat was eliminated at the final hurdle following the last roundtable.
The concluding trio of Alan, David and Nick opted to finish the game, with each disclosing whether they were Traitors or Faithfuls. After Alan's victory, presenter Claudia addressed fans through social media, posting an image with the inaugural celebrity winner.
Standing beside the comedian whilst sporting an 'I love Alan' t-shirt, she posted: "Thank you so so much for watching. Every single one of the cast - utterly outstanding. And this one."
The television personality then hinted: "We'll see you soon."
As anticipated, viewers are already eagerly awaiting the return of the show, and fortunately, they won't have to wait too long as applications for the civilian version are now open.
The current deadline is set for 31st May 2026, but this could be extended or closed without notice, so it's advisable to apply as soon as possible.
To apply, you'll need to complete an application form here. All applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of applying for the show and have the legal right to reside in the UK.
The application form asks whether you'd prefer to be a Faithful or Traitor if chosen for the show. Filming is expected to occur over a period of up to four weeks, currently projected to be summer/autumn 2026.
