This change is made because, oil marketing companies update the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am according to the fluctuations in global crude oil prices and currency exchange rates. Whereas marketing companies, to promote transparency and ensure that consumers are aware of the latest price of fuel. Apart from this, companies are trying to ensure that customers know at what price they are buying fuel.

Today petrol in New Delhi is Rs (94.77) per liter. In Mumbai (103.50) per liter, in Kolkata (105.41) per liter, in Chennai (100.75) per liter, in Bengaluru (102.92) per liter, in Gurugram (95.12) per liter, in Noida (94.71) per liter, in Ghaziabad (94.71) rupees, in Meerut (94.38) rupees per liter, Petrol is priced at Rs (94.64) per liter in Agra, Rs (94.69) in Lucknow, Rs (104.72) per liter in Jaipur, Rs (106.45) in Indore, Rs (105.58) in Patna, Rs (97.86) in Ranchi, Rs (95) in Surat, Rs (94.30) in Chandigarh and Rs (90.75) per liter in Ahmedabad.
