BSNL 5G Service: Government Telecom Company of India BSNL Now private companies like Jio, Airtel and Vi Is preparing to give tough competition. While private operators are already providing high-speed 5G services across the country, BSNL is also going to finally launch its indigenous technology based 5G service by December 2025. According to reports, it will start from Delhi and Mumbai.

BSNL’s 5G service will start from Delhi and Mumbai.

According to sources, BSNL has completed all the necessary equipment and technical testing for its 5G service. “All systems are working as expected, and the company is ready to launch its 5G services in both the metro cities by December 2025,” a Department of Telecommunications (DoT) official said. With this launch, BSNL will provide high-speed 5G network facility to its users for the first time. This is a big relief for those consumers who till now were facing the problem of slow speed despite being connected to the government network.

Private companies will be challenged

Private operators like Jio and Airtel are already providing 5G services across the country, but the entry of BSNL can bring a big change in the telecom market. Since BSNL’s network will be completely based on ‘Made in India’ technology, this move will also strengthen the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission of the government.

Real reason for delay: Self-reliant India Mission

Many people are raising the question why BSNL delayed so much in launching 5G service. Actually, the aim of the government was that this service should develop in the country without depending on foreign technology. In this direction, the government has signed an agreement with TCS, Tejas Networks and C-DoT worth about ₹25,000 crore. Under this project, one lakh 4G towers are being installed across the country which will gradually be upgraded to 5G. Till now BSNL has installed more than 95,000 towers and all of them will be connected to 5G network in the coming months.

Big step towards Digital India

This launch of BSNL will not only give competition to private companies but will also give a new direction to the Digital India campaign. This 5G network, completely prepared with Indian technology, will prove to be an important step towards the country’s technological self-reliance.
