Health Desk. Piles or hemorrhoids have become a common problem today. This problem increases due to sitting for a long time, constipation and wrong diet. However, it can be controlled with right diet and home remedies. According to experts, regular consumption of water, isabgol and aloe vera juice can provide great relief from piles.


1. Water and liquids


Water maintains water balance in the body and improves intestinal motility. Drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water a day keeps the stool soft and reduces constipation, which helps in reducing the pain and burning sensation of piles. Lemon water, coconut water and light herbal tea are also beneficial.


2. Isabgol


Isabgol is used Ayurvedicly in India to improve digestion and prevent constipation. It softens the stool by absorbing water in the intestines and makes bowel movements easier. Taking one to two spoons of Isabgol daily with lukewarm water or milk has shown significant improvement in the problem of piles.


3. Aloe Vera Juice


Aloe vera juice has natural anti-inflammatory properties. It helps reduce irritation, pain and swelling caused by internal and external piles. Drinking a glass of aloe vera juice daily on an empty stomach also improves internal health and keeps the digestion process smooth.


Additional Tips


Avoid sitting for long periods and do light exercise or walking. Reduce consumption of spicy, oily and junk food. If needed, mild stool softeners or Ayurvedic medicines can be used after consulting the doctor.
