In today's time, the problem of high blood pressure i.e. hypertension is increasing rapidly. This is a condition in which the blood pressure exceeds the normal level. Continuously increased BP puts pressure on the heart, kidneys and brain. If it is not controlled in time, it can cause serious problems like heart disease, stroke or kidney failure. In such a situation, some simple yoga asanas suggested by Baba Ramdev are beneficial in keeping high BP under control.

The main causes of high BP include mental stress, obesity, excessive salt intake, smoking, alcohol, bad lifestyle and genetic reasons. Continuously increased blood pressure makes the veins of the body hard, due to which the heart has to work harder. This condition can even cause heart attack, brain stroke, eye weakness and kidney damage. In the beginning its symptoms are very mild like headache, fatigue, shortness of breath or restlessness, hence people often ignore it.

Anulom Antonyms:

Baba Ramdev Told that this is one of the most effective pranayams. In this, the process of inhaling and exhaling alternately from both the nostrils takes place, which calms the mind and keeps the blood flow in the veins balanced. Regular exercise reduces stress, anxiety and irritability, due to which blood pressure gradually starts normalizing.

Bhramari Pranayam:

This yoga provides mental peace and relaxes the nervous system. By reducing stress, BP remains under control naturally.

Kapalbhati Pranayam:

It removes toxic elements from the body and improves blood circulation. Doing it daily increases the efficiency of the heart.

Surya Namaskar:

It involves exercise of the whole body. It keeps the muscles active and helps in maintaining balanced blood pressure.

Yogic Jogging:

This exercise, done at a light pace, increases blood circulation and reduces stress, thereby keeping high BP under control.

Reduce the intake of salt and fried foods.

Take at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep every day.

Do regular yoga and meditation in the morning or evening.

Listen to music or meditate to reduce stress.

Get your blood pressure checked regularly.

This simple routine and yoga practice will not only keep blood pressure under control, but will also keep both body and mind healthy.
