News India Live, Digital Desk: India is not called the country of miracles and mysteries for nothing. There are such stories of faith here, which seem beyond science and logic. Today we are going to tell you about one such temple, where devotees believe that God himself is ‘alive’, because his idol is changing its shape even today. This amazing place is the Kanipakkam Varasiddhi Vinayak Temple located in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The temple was started with a miracle. The foundation of this temple has been laid on a miracle. It is said that a long time ago, three brothers lived here, who were physically handicapped. One was blind, the other mute and the third deaf. They earned their living by farming. Once, to provide water to the fields, he started digging an old well deeper. While digging, his tool hit something hard and a stream of blood flowed out from it. With this incident, the disability of those three brothers also miraculously went away. When the villagers looked into the well, they found an idol of Lord Ganesha there, which was soaked in blood. Since then, this idol is considered to be ‘Swayambhu’ i.e. self-manifested. The center of faith, where miracles are happening even today, the well in which this idol appeared is still present in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and the idol is installed inside it. But the most surprising thing about this temple, which differentiates it from other temples, is the continuously increasing size of this idol. The devotees and priests who come here say that this idol is gradually getting bigger year after year. The proof of this is considered to be the armor which the devotees had worn on the idol many decades ago, but today it has become smaller. People say that initially the size of the statue was very small, but today the stomach and knees of the statue can be clearly seen. What does the belief say about the future? There is a very deep belief associated with this mysterious incident. People believe that this idol of Lord Ganesha will continue to grow till the end of Kaliyuga. And when the pot of sin is filled, on that day Lord Ganesha himself will appear from this idol and establish the religion. This belief makes this place a unique confluence of faith and mystery. Every year, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, a grand Brahmotsav is organized here, in which lakhs of devotees from all over the country and abroad come to participate. They not only come with their vows, but also want to witness the miracle that is happening in that temple even today.
