According to the Panchang, this time the Amavasya Tithi of Agahan month will start at 09:43 am on Wednesday, November 19 and will continue till 12:17 pm on Thursday, November 20. When to perform Shraddha on Amavasya of Aghan month?

According to Astrologer Pt. Sharma, there is a tradition of performing ancestral rituals like Shraddha, Pind Daan etc. before 12 noon and this situation is being created on 19th November, Wednesday. Therefore, it would be best to perform Shraddha-Pind Daan on the new moon day of Aghan month. Scholars also say that if there is a coincidence of Amavasya at 12 noon on two consecutive days, then Pitru work should be done on the first day itself.

When to take bath on Amavasya?

Taking bath in the holy river on Amavasya Tithi and donating to the needy also has special significance. This work is done on sunrise date.
