A few days are left for the series between Australia and England to begin. The five-match series between Australia and England will begin from November 21. Both teams are strong teams in the world of cricket, with Australia being the runner-up for the World Test Championship 2025. Now who will win this series will be known in the last match of the series. Earlier, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan has predicted that the Ashes series will end in a 2-2 draw, with one match still to be drawn.

Michael Vaughan says Ben Stokes-led England will win the series opener in Perth after Australians Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood have been ruled out. Michael Vaughan wrote on social media platform ‘X’, “If Ben Stokes stays fit, I think the series will be tied 2-2. In the absence of Pat or Josh, England will win against Australia in Perth. If no player is injured before the first Test of the series, this is my last guess.”

Pat Cummins is currently recovering from a back injury, while fast bowler Hazlewood suffered a hamstring injury while playing for New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield match against Victoria. On Saturday, former England captain Michael Vaughan said that with Josh Hazlewood out, the visiting England team is in good shape for the first Ashes match. Vaughan had said, “Aussies Hazlewood and Cummins are out of the first Test. It’s an early sign that the pace bowling needed to win a big series is going in England’s favour. There’s a big chance for them to go one point ahead in Perth.”

Mitchell Starc is the only fully fit first-choice fast bowler in the Australian squad, backed up by Scott Boland. With Hazlewood injured, Australia may look to use both all-rounders Cameron Green and Beau Webster as pace bowlers. With Cummins, Abbott and Hazlewood out injured, uncapped pacer Brendan Doggett, who has taken five wickets twice for South Australia, could make his Test debut in Perth.
