New Delhi: American customers can now use Amazon Autos to search, finance and buy Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned vehicles online. This new setup lets them view nearby dealer stock directly on Amazon, complete most formalities online, and later visit the dealer only to pick up the car. The aim is to make used-car buying simpler by mixing Amazon’s familiar shopping system with Ford’s certified vehicle process.

All cars listed under Ford Blue Advantage come with a proper warranty and roadside assistance. These cars have already passed detailed checks, so buyers get a vehicle that has been inspected and approved by Ford standards. Ford is offering three different certification options based on customer needs and budget.

Key Program Features

Gold Certified cars are Ford vehicles not older than six years and with less than 80,000 miles. They go through a 172-point inspection and include a limited warranty valid for 12 months or 12,000 miles.

Blue Certified covers Ford and non-Ford cars that are up to ten years old with less than 150,000 miles. These go through a 139-point check and come with a 90-day or 4,000-mile limited warranty.

EV Certified applies to electric Ford vehicles up to six years old with fewer than 80,000 miles. These cars get a 127-point inspection and the same warranty as Gold Certified.

It also comes with a 14-day or 1,000-mile money-back policy. If a buyer is not satisfied, they can return the car within the allowed period, depending on which limit is reached first.

Users browsing on Amazon can view cars available within a 75-mile range, check detailed pricing, compare options and apply for financing from different lenders, including Ford Credit, without leaving the website. Even though shopping and paperwork begin online, the deal remains tied to a local Ford dealer. They decide pricing, hand over the car and will manage future service or complaints.

At present, this programe is only live in Los Angeles, Seattle and Dallas, and will slowly reach more US locations. However, Ford has not shared any information about when or if this feature will be available in India, so there is no clarity for Indian buyers right now.
