The week between Christmas and New Year can feel a little less exciting, after all the presents have been exchanged and every door in the Advent calendar has been opened. But the countdown doesn't have to end there, as Jo Malone has just unveiled a new gift bag filled with fragrance and body care treats to help extend the festive cheer for another week.

The New Year Countdown Collection is a great way to get a range of Jo Malone products for a fraction of the price, as it contains seven favourites for £90. This means each item works out to be about £12.80, and even though they are all travel-sized, it's a pretty good deal considering the cheapest item in the set (one of the 9ml fragrances) would be £18 if bought individually.

Each item comes individually wrapped and packed inside a fun multicoloured pouch decorated with the words 'Lucky Dip'. And you're encouraged to use it exactly as that - a lucky dip you can pop your hand into each day during the lead-up to December 31 and discover a new product to use.

Inside, you'll find three colognes, a hand cream, a hand and body lotion, a body cream, and a body and hand wash, in some of the brand's most popular scents: Hinoki and Cedarwood, Poppy and Barley, English Pear and Sweet Pea, Velvet Rouse and Oud, Wood Sage and Sea Salt, English Pair and Freesia, and Blackberry and Bay.

This is a great gift set for Jo Malone fans seeking mini versions of their favourite products, but it's also a great way for people who have always been curious about the brand to try some for a fraction of the price. Of course, you could also treat yourself, or split it up into smaller stocking fillers.

The set includes three 9ml bottles of cologne, each worth between £18 and £24 when sold individually. It's a good mix that includes both brand classics and something more adventurous.

There is a bottle of Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne, a fresh, woody scent with notes of ambrette seeds, sea salt and sage. One review said: "Perfect cologne for all occasions. It is fresh, elegant and subtle. It always makes me feel clean, light and uplifted. I wear it to work, social events and at home."

There is also some of the English Pear & Sweet Pea Cologne, which has notes of pear, sweet pea and white musk. One shopper called it "a youthful take on the classic English Pear and Freesia", adding: "It's still a classic scent, but with a twist."

Lastly, there is a bottle of Hinoki & Cedarwood Cologne Intense. This clean, woody scent has aromatic accords that make it longer-lasting, and it already has many fans. One said: "While, yes, there are notes of Hinoki and Cedarwood, the depth and intensity of this fragrance is captivating. I find myself wanting to wear it at any chance."

Lastly, there is a Blackberry and Bay Hand Cream that is the perfect size to pop into your handbag or a travel toiletries pouch. Its vibrant, fruity scent blends together the scent of blackberries with bay leaves and cedarwood. This is a great gift set, and would be perfect for a Jo Malone lover or a curious fragrance enthusiast, but one potential downside is that the recipient might not like all of the scents, especially if they're not familiar with the brand.
