PTC Web Desk: Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, experienced a major outage across India on Monday. Users in several regions reported being unable to access the platform via its website or mobile application.

In Delhi, many users confirmed that both the desktop version and the Android and iOS apps were not functioning properly. While the homepage was loading, none of the feeds were accessible. Instead, users were met with an error message that read: “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”

The cause of the disruption remains unclear. More details are awaited.

Elon Musk had acquired Twitter (now X) on October 27, 2022, in a $44 billion deal, equivalent to approximately Rs 3.84 lakh crore today. Immediately after taking over, Musk fired four top executives: CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, Legal Head Vijaya Gadde, and General Counsel Sean Edgett.

On June 5, 2023, Linda Yaccarino took over as CEO of X. Before joining the company, she served as the Global Advertising & Partnerships Chairperson at NBCUniversal.
