PM Kisan 21st Installment: Lucknow. Today, on November 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 21st installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. In one click, approximately Rs 18,000 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers through DBT. A wave of happiness ran on the faces of farmer brothers across the country!

Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Department also celebrated this historic program of the Prime Minister with full enthusiasm. The entire address of the Prime Minister was shown live through big screens and projectors in all the divisional and district offices of the state including Matsya Chetna Kendra, Fisheries Directorate, Lucknow.

More than 5,000 fishermen participated in the programs at divisional and district level. Information about all the schemes of the department was given and publicity material was also distributed.

Mrs. Dhanalakshmi K. Said, “There is immense potential for fisheries in Uttar Pradesh. Fisheries production has more than doubled in the last 7 years. If we use our water resources scientifically, it is absolutely possible to make UP number 1 in fisheries production.” He further said, “We are fully committed that the Fisheries Department will contribute its full contribution in making Uttar Pradesh a trillion dollar economy.”
