Gut health is extremely important for our overall health. Often people ignore digestive problems, whereas the pattern and habits of the potty are a direct indication of how your digestive system is working. According to experts, three main aspects of everyday poop—color, texture, and frequency—can give a complete report of the stomach.
1. Color: What is the indication?
The color of poop gives information about digestion and liver health.
Golden brown or light brown: This is a normal and healthy condition.
Dark brown or black: If this color appears without any medicine, it may be a sign of internal bleeding or digestive problems.
Light or yellow color: There may be a problem to liver or gall bladder.
Green color: If green color is seen continuously and not just occasionally, it may be a sign of eating green leafy vegetables or a digestive infection.
Experts advise that if abnormal color persists for two-three days, consult a doctor immediately.
2. Shape and size: normal or a problem?
Soft and Slippery: This is a sign of a healthy digestive system.
Hard and tough: Constipation may be a problem. Prolonged constipation can cause gas, bloating and other complications in the stomach.
Too thin or floating: If this consistency persists, it may indicate an internal health problem such as a liver or gall bladder problem.
Watery or very loose: This may be a sign of diarrhea or infection.
3. Frequency and regularity
Regularity of potty is also a great indicator of digestive health.
Once daily: This is considered normal.
Twice or more: If suddenly it happens more often then it could be a sign of internal infection or food allergy.
Once a week: Having less frequent potties can be a sign of constipation or poor digestion.
Experts say that sudden changes in potty habits should not be ignored. Digestive system problems can be avoided by timely checkup and proper eating habits.
