In the wave of massive layoffs one after another many people are already fearing the threats to their jobs. Multiple huge conglomerates like Google Amazon Microsoft and Intel have cut the jobs of employees in the past. This time the hit is being done by the Tata Group. Previously almost 12000 layoffs were done at the TCS (Tata Consultancy Services). 
The lay-offs by the Tata Digital
According to the reports the conglomerates Tata Digital is planning to reduce the companys size. Its aiming to lay off more than 50 per cent of the companys employees. People had hardly recovered from the former layoffs at Tata Consultancy Services which impacted almost 12000 persons. This time the job cuts are in talks about the super-app Tata Neu.
Whos the new CEO of Tata Digital?
The new Chief Executive Officer of Tata Digital is Sajith Sivanandan. As per the reports the company is planning several changes under the new CEO. One of them is to shift the entire focus from GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) to the companys profitability as it will increase the revenue by reducing unrequired expenses.

In addition the company is planning to bring its complete digital vertical under one platform hinting at major layoffs in the near future.

The reports are stating that the new focus of Tata Digital headed by CEO Sajith Sivanandan will revolve around three major areas. These are financial services marketing services and a unified loyalty engine.
