Indian boxers Arundhati Chaudhary, Preeti Pawar, Meenakshi Hooda and Nupur Sheoran won gold medals in the final of the World Boxing Cup played today in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

In the 70 kg category, Arundhati Chaudhary defeated Aziza Zokirova of Uzbekistan 5-0 in the final. Preeti Pawar defeated Italy’s Sirene Charabene 5-0 in the 54 kg category and in the 48 kg category, Meenakshi Hooda performed brilliantly by defeating Uzbekistan’s Fozilova Farzona 5-0.

Nupur Sheoran won her fourth gold medal in the over 80 kg category by defeating Uzbekistan’s Oltynoy Sotimbaeva. Indian men boxers today won four silver medals despite losing their final matches.
