UP News: Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is working by making social justice, respect and equal opportunity the basic spirit of governance. The government has taken many important steps especially for the upliftment of Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Backward Classes. The direct impact of these efforts is visible at the ground level, where lakhs of families of various tribal communities including Tharu, Buxa, Nat, Banjara are rapidly getting facilities like housing, education, roads, electricity, drinking water and employment.


Saturation based development of 517 tribal villages


Under ‘Dharti Aaba Tribal Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’, 100% reach of schemes was ensured in 517 tribal dominated villages of 26 districts.



  • More than 11 lakh people got basic facilities of roads, electricity, housing, drinking water and toilets.

  • 815 Buksa families were given permanent houses under the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Housing Schemes.

  • Under the Forest Rights Act-2006, legal ownership was ensured by registering land claims of more than 23,000 forest dwelling families.

  • More than 1.5 lakh tribal students received scholarships and fee reimbursement.

  • 2,000 children are receiving residential education in 9 ashram system schools of Lakhimpur Kheri and Balrampur.


Special focus on women safety and respect


The government has formed three PAC battalions in honor of the brave women, among which the name of the brave Dalit heroine of 1857 Uda Devi is prominent. The contribution of Pasi community has been given special recognition by installing his statue in Lucknow. At the same time, 371 women self-help groups associated with Tharu Handicraft Company have been given a strong path to economic self-reliance by connecting them with the national market.


Opened new paths for the youth


Apart from this, youth empowerment and increasing opportunities in government jobs have opened new avenues for the youth due to the employment schemes of the government.



  • Under the PETC scheme, 6,500 youth were given high level preparation for competitive examinations.

  • Of these, more than 700 youth were selected on administrative posts.

  • In Police Recruitment 2023–24, all the reserved posts of ST category were completely filled for the first time.


Recognizing neglected heroes


The government has given new strength to cultural pride by building museums and memorials to Birsa Munda, Tharu Samaj, Maharaja Suheldev and other public leaders. The model of Yogi government has emerged as a balanced combination of development and respect, which is making the state a strong example of inclusive progress.
