New Delhi: In the second Test match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India defeated West Indies by seven wickets and won the two-match series 2-0. West Indies had given India a target of 121 to win in the second innings. Which was achieved today in the first hour of the game itself. This is Gill’s first test series win as captain.


Team India, who came to bat first in this Test played in Delhi, declared the bet on 518 runs. West Indies was all out for 248 runs in the first innings and Team India followed it up. In the second innings, West Indies scored 390 runs and gave India a target of 121 runs. Chasing this, K.L.Rahul hit the winning wicket after scoring 58 runs.


The pitch of Arun Jaitley Stadium was favorable for batting, so after winning the toss, India decided to bat first. Jaiswale scored a century on the first day itself. When Rahul was out after scoring 38 runs. While Sudarshan scored 87, Jaiswale 175, Nitish Reddy 43, Dhruv Jurel 44 and Captain Gill scored a century. Team India had declared the bet on 518 runs. After which the West Indies team, which came to bat, was all out after scoring 248 runs.


Kuldeep Yadve took five wickets. While Jadeja took 3 wickets, Siraj and Bumrah took one wicket each. West Indies team came into bat again after follow-on and scored 390 runs with the help of John Capbell’s 115 runs and Shai Hope’s 103 runs. Thus, Team India was given a target of 121 runs. In the second innings, Jaiswal was out after scoring only 8 runs. While Sai, Sudarshan had scored 39 runs. Apart from this, Gile scored 13 runs and K.L.Rahul scored 38 runs. India had achieved the target in 36 overs.
