WhatsApp: WhatsApp is constantly improving its features and bringing new experiences for users. In this series, the platform has given a completely new look to its initial and popular feature ‘About’. Now users will be able to share short text updates visible for 24 hours through this feature, which works exactly like Instagram Notes.

WhatsApp has confirmed in its blog post that the company is “bringing back and making this feature even better.” Now it will not just be a static text status, but users will be able to put small, casual and time-limited updates in it.

You can add text, emoji, or short messages to these updates—such as:

“Busy with work”

“Travel”

“best wishes for your birthday”

These updates will appear at the top of the individual chat screen, in your profile view, and in place of the quick-reply option.

New design like Instagram Notes

WhatsApp’s new About feature looks a lot like Instagram Notes in design. The idea is to let users share quick thoughts, statuses or activities with their contacts without the need for a lengthy status post.
