A couple who were both left completelyblind following separate horror attacks have now had to contend with people judging them for becoming parents.
Hareem and Jonesti, who "see complete darkness at all times", fell in love after meeting at a training centre for people with disabilities, and last year they learned they were expecting their first child together.
While Hareem already had a daughter, A'lonni, from a previous relationship, this was Jonesti's firstbaby, and she had some apprehensions about parenting while blind. Opening up on the show Love Don't Judge, Jonesti shared: "[Hareem] didn't have any concerns about being a blind parent, but I definitely did: 'What if we fail them as parents because we do have a disability?'"
And Jonesti wasn't the only one with concerns, with friends and family making their feelings known on the matter, asking the pair, "How are you going to take care of this baby?"

After welcoming baby Anthony to the world, the proud parents had to deal with a few additional challenges as they got into the swing of things, with Jonesti noting that tasks such as nappy changing proved tricky.
However, it wasn't long at all before both she and Hareem were able to adapt to their own ways of getting things done, and they're now able to care for little Anthony with complete independence, proving the doubters wrong. As Hareem explained: "It is different being blind, I can say that - but you just find a different way to do things."
Unfortunately, after sharing their story of overcoming adversity via social media, both Hareem and Jonesti have had to deal with some negative comments, with some cruel trolls even doubting their capabilities as parents.
According to Jonesti: "We've had people ask us questions like, 'Are you sure you should be raising kids?' and, 'How do you know if the baby is safe?' We've also had people say that we're pretending [to be blind]."
Instead of absorbing the hurtful scrutiny, Hareem and Jonesti let it wash over them, concentrating on what matters most - building a happy future for their young family. Jonesti continued: "I'm not going to be comfortable with being blind until we can live how we want to live and be the parents that we want to be. So far it's turning out pretty good!"
And for every intrusive question or baseless conspiracy theory, the couple have plenty of supporters cheering them on. One inspired person commented: "All I see is two parents and a clean, organised house with too well-taken care of beautiful children. Maybe other people should take note."
Another applauded: "Good for them!! They are some strong beautiful people!!! So happy that they found happiness, and they didn't let others' concerns stop or bother them like that! I pray they and their family continue to stay strong."
