Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal’s much-anticipated wedding has been postponed due to a health scare involving Mandhana’s father. The ceremony was scheduled for November 23, 2025, at the Mandhana family farmhouse in Sangli, Maharashtra.
According to reports, preparations for the wedding were underway when Mandhana’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, suffered a heart attack. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Sources confirmed that his condition has stabilized, but he remains under close medical supervision.
Mandhana’s management confirmed the postponement, stating that both families agreed to delay the wedding to focus on Srinivas Mandhana’s recovery. Wedding decorations and arrangements at the venue are being taken down, and the families have requested privacy during this time.
The celebrations had already begun in recent days with pre-wedding ceremonies such as mehendi and haldi. Smriti’s teammates from the Indian women’s cricket team attended the festivities, sharing special moments with the bride-to-be. Fans had been eagerly following the events, with photos and videos of the ceremonies circulating widely online.
Earlier this month, the couple made headlines when Palash Muchhal’s romantic stadium proposal to Smriti went viral. The proposal, witnessed by close family and friends, added to the excitement surrounding their wedding.
