A crash into a gas substation has prompted a major evacuation in West Sussex on Monday morning. Residents from six flats and one house were transferred to a church after the smash in Pagham Road, in Pagham.

A 100-metre evacuation was put in place and people have been advised to avoid the area while emergency services attend the incident. West Sussex Fire and Rescue service said firefighters, West Sussex County Council's Resilience and Emergencies Team members and officers from Arun District Council were working together at the scene.
