News anchor Ritumony Roy found dead in office in Guwahati. Their wedding was going to take place in December and invitations had also been sent. A note found near the body indicated that it could have been a suicide, although the police are investigating all angles, including murder.

Guwahati/New Delhi. A young female journalist working as an anchor in a local news portal in Guwahati, the capital of Assam, was found dead inside her office on Monday morning. According to reports, she was going to get married next month i.e. in December. However, her death just 11 days before the wedding has shocked everyone. At present the police is investigating the case whether it is suicide or murder.

Wedding invitations had been sent

According to reports, invitations for the wedding of the female anchor named Ritumony Roy had already been sent to the guests. It is being told that just one night before the incident, Ritumony had attended a pre-wedding ceremony at a friend's house. According to police officials, Ritumoni later returned to office and her body was found the same night.

Came to work on 23rd November but did not return home

Initial reports suggest that Ritumoni had come to work on November 23, but did not return home after the end of her shift that night. Later in the morning, people working together in the office found his dead body. Police also found a note from the spot, which read, "This is for everyone's welfare. Sorry."

Family members expressed a big apprehension

Ritumoni had worked with other digital media organizations before joining his current workplace. Family sources have hinted at a possible financial angle behind the alleged suicide. Police have currently registered a case and are investigating the matter from all possible angles.
