Bollywood’s legendary ‘He-Man’, Dharmendra, has left a huge void with his passing, but his magic lives on in his final film, ‘Ikkis’. Just hours before news of his demise broke, the makers unveiled a striking poster that places the superstar at the heart of the story, reminding fans of the energy, charm, and warmth that defined his career.



Line-producer Aroon Singh Dicky, who oversaw the Lucknow schedule, recalls the unforgettable frenzy on set, where fans went to extraordinary lengths just to see the actor. From kissing his chair to picking mud from his footprints, Dharmendra’s presence turned every scene into a celebration of his legendary appeal.




Fans showed immense love during ‘Ikkis’ shootRecalling the shoot days, Aroon Singh Dicky, who handled the Lucknow schedule, remembered the extraordinary fan following Dharmendra enjoyed.



Dharmendra will be seen in the role of Brigadier ML Khetrapal, father of protagonist PVC Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal (Agastya Nanda), filmed extensively in Qaiserbagh and Lalbagh. His outdoor schedule caused huge traffic jams as fans poured in to catch a glimpse of the superstar.



“I have been in line production for over two decades, but I have never in my life seen such a fan following," Aroon Singh told Hindustan Times..



Fans kissed chair and and picked up mud from footprints“I saw people, including elderly women, kissing the chair he was sitting on and picking up the mud from his footprints to apply it to their foreheads. From my work experience, actor Sanjay Dutt has been the biggest crowd-puller so far, but Dharamji… ek jhalak dekhne ko log dewaane the!" he shared.



Dharmendra’s humility impressed everyoneTalking about Dharmendra’s nature, Aroon said, “He was so humble that he would start talking with anyone and acknowledged his fans with an open heart."



For Aroon, working with Dharmendra was more than a project, was a dream come true. “Itni duayen dete hain ki aap sharminda ho jaaye (He gives you so many blessings that you feel overwhelmed)," he added, “There won’t be a loving superstar like him again."



Bollywood stars attended his last ritesDharmendra’s last rites were held on the afternoon of November 24 at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Prominent personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan , veteran writer Salim Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan , attended. Fans, colleagues, and family also gathered to pay their respects to the beloved actor.
