Cyber ​​security firm claimed
Russian cyber security firm FACCT has claimed in one of its reports that till now hackers have tried to port the eSIM of more than 100 people. Earlier, hackers used to break into the databases of telecom companies by using social engineering to port people’s SIM cards.


What is eSIM?
eSIM is a software based SIM card which is installed in the phone by scanning the QR code. At present, e-SIM facility is available only in premium phones, but it is gradually becoming popular. By porting eSIM, your bank account, crypto wallet etc. can be emptied and someone can also be defrauded in your name.


FACCT has asked eSIM users to keep the security of their phones strong. It is suggested to keep the password complex. Also keep your bank account password safe with two-factor authentication.
