Disneyland Paris has given an exclusive peek behind the scenes at the World of Frozen. The launch date was revealed in typical Disneyland fashion - with a spectacular drone show. As hundreds of drones lit up the night sky aboveAdventure Bay, reflecting in the lake below the drones initially created an enormous World of Frozen logo before displaying the opening date mid-air, confirming that the new attraction will open its gates to guests from March 29, 2026.

Once finished,Disney Adventure Worldwill have nearly doubled in size, offering fresh experiences that bosses say will redefine immersive storytelling, but there's still some finishing touches to be made.

Before next year's official launch, DisneyImagineers are putting the finishing touches to North Mountain - which became Elsa's sanctuary during her voluntary isolation in the movie.

The impressive 36-metre structure forming the centrepiece of the attraction is the tallest point in the World of Frozen, crowned by Elsa's spectacular Ice Palace.

The mountain needed 400 tons of metal for its framework before being hand-carved in concrete and decorated to achieve its frozen, snow-covered appearance.

Matthieu Robin, lead show creator for Disneyland Paris, said: "It's our biggest expansion ever. We're extending worlds our guests already love, bringing those stories to life in new ways."

"There is so much to discover, explore and experience," he added.

Matthieu revealed his personal favourite spot is from Regal View Restaurant, beside the lake, admiring the vista of the kingdom of Arendelle from across the water.

"We're creating world-class entertainment, and we want to continue pushing that forward. This is just the beginning," he added.

Within the new area, visitors will find 34 cutting-edge Audio-Animatronic figures, explore Arendelle Castle – drawing inspiration from traditional Scandinavian design – and see how Anna and Elsa live beyond the castle walls.

In addition to its attractions, World of Frozen will feature immersive dining experiences, exclusive shopping opportunities and a Royal meet-and-greet with Anna and Elsa.

The expansion also introduces a new nighttime spectacular to the resort. Taking place across the central lake at Adventure Bay, the show will blend choreographed drone displays, striking water screens and a brand-new musical score recorded at Abbey Road Studios.

John Mauro, portfolio executive creative producer for Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, said: "World of Frozen will certainly draw guests in, but it's really all the elements coming together.

"Even at the front of the park, we've transformed Studio 1 into World Premiere with a whole new look that starts the storytelling the moment you enter.

"You walk through what feels like a movie theatre and it opens up into this brand-new world. I hope guests leave thinking 'Wow – they've really created something incredible here'."
