The buzz surrounding SS Rajamouli's upcoming global adventure film, featuring Mahesh Babu, has intensified with a new report.

According to 123 Telugu, Sudheer Babu's younger son, Darshan, may be cast as the childhood version of Babu's character. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.

Rajamouli recently announced the title of his upcoming film to be Varanasi at a grand event.

MM Keeravani hints at 'grand' music for 'Varanasi'

MM Keeravani, the film's music composer, recently spoke about the movie's music at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.

He said, "They (fans) can expect grandeur; more than that, I'm not supposed to reveal. There will be six songs in the film."

He also added that he felt no pressure regarding the project as he had clarity and conviction about it.

Recently, the makers of Varanasi unveiled the much-awaited first look of Priyanka Chopra Jonas from the film.

The star introduced her character, Mandakini, on social media, leaving fans in awe of the film's grandeur and her fierce avatar.

Earlier, they also shared Prithviraj Sukumaran's first look as Kumbha, which took social media by storm.

Actor's anticipation

Naga Chaitanya recently expressed his excitement for Varanasi on X (formerly Twitter).

He reshared Babu's post announcing the film's trailer after the Globe Trotter event in Hyderabad.

His caption read, "Nothing short of extraordinary. This is going to be a blast!"

The film is set to release in 2027.
