Real Madrid have placed their full backing behind Xabi Alonsoamid talk of some players having issues with the new coach - Vinicius Jnr among them.
The Spaniard only arrived at the Bernabeu in the summer, taking charge of the team where he played and won the Champions League. He enjoyed some stunning exploits with Bayer Leverkusen, winning the Bundesliga, and is seen as a top tier coach.
Real hired him to replace Carlo Ancelotti but internally there have been rumblings whilst recent results have seen them loosen their grip on the race for the La Liga title. They've also suffered a first Champions League loss of the campaign, which has led to reports of discontent.
Vinicius Jnr has been a leading light for Los Blancos but Alonso has hauled him off on numerous occasions, resulting in an outburst from the Brazilian during a time where he's in the midst of contract talks.
Real have put all their weight behind their head coach however after handing him a three-year deal in the summer. Marca claims that 'he is the boss' and the club's hierarchy have backed some of the more divisive calls he has made - which include his handling of Vinicius and some of his tactical changes.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Fede Valverde, Brahim Diaz, Rodrygo and Ferland Mendy and thought to have concerns over Alonso. But the player turned manager has a number of backers - Kylian Mbappe among them. Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and young Turkish talent Arda Guler are both fans of Alonso.
The 44-year-old was heavily linked with the Liverpool job when Jurgen Klopp announced his departure, but the Reds ultimately decided to go for Arne Slot. Alonso's links to Anfield, where he also won the Champions League, mean talk of a return remains.
Former Red Igor Biscan, who played alongside Alonso, told Boylesports: "Xabi Alonso as Liverpool manager? I think that's always a possibility. If he keeps on doing what he's doing, and to be successful and make a difference. Whenever you watch his teams, they are doing so well, they have a clear structure, and the quality is always there. Who wouldn't want to have a manager like him?"
Alonso's only Champions League loss came earlier this month when he headed back to Liverpool and tasted defeat. The Spanish giants are currently poised to qualify in Europe - and in Spain, despite two successive draws, they hold a one point lead over Barcelona.
