Train Child Misbehavior: The sleeper coach of a train is often considered to be the most practical and accommodating bogie of travel. There is more conversation between passengers here compared to 3AC, 2AC or 1AC. But sometimes this environment also becomes the cause of problems, especially when small children start doing excessive mischief and their parents fail to stop them.

One such case recently went viral on the social media platform Reddit, in which a female passenger shared her bad train experience. According to the passenger, she was sitting on the side lower berth in the sleeper coach. After some time, at a station a group of children along with their mother boarded the compartment.

Passengers troubled by children’s mischief

The woman claims that the mother did not seem capable of handling the children at all and the children immediately started making noise, climbing up and down and running around throughout the coach. Meanwhile, children had created a ruckus on the upper berth, due to which the journey of the passengers sitting below had become difficult.

The woman told that she had kept her hand on the stairs of the upper berth, when suddenly a child stepped on her hand and climbed up. A few seconds later, another child started climbing up, pushing his luggage, which prevented his phone from falling out of the window. He wrote, “I did not know whether to scold the children or tell the mother, but she seemed incapable of handling everything herself.”

Users said – it is important for parents to teach children

Reddit users reacted to this post. Many people wrote that such a situation is often seen in sleeper coaches, where children are not taught any discipline in public space. Many users said that it is important for parents to teach their children that their actions should not cause trouble to other passengers.

Some people suggested that Railways should also make some guidelines or announcement in such cases so that discipline is maintained in the coaches. This incident draws attention to the fact that train travel is not just an experience of convenience but also an experience of shared responsibility. Teaching discipline to children in public space is a basic responsibility of parents, ignoring which can spoil the journey of others.
