New Delhi: A woman died by suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan using a dupatta. in Vasant Vihar, Delhi. The woman, identified as Deepti Chaurasia, was married to Arpit Chaurasia. According to the police, no signs of domestic dispute have been found so far, but the exact reason behind the suicide is still being investigated.Deepti was the daughter-in-law of a well-known pan masala business family in Delhi, and her father had also been involved in politics in Bihar. She is survived by two young children. The incident has left the family and neighbourhood in deep shock as the police continue to gather more details about what led to this tragic incident. Investigation is going on and police are looking for concrete evidence behind this.
A 16-year-old student of St Columba’s School in Delhi died by suicide by jumping from the platform of an elevated Metro station. Two days after the suicide, school authorities suspended the headmaster and three teachers of St Columba’s School. The action by the school came after the father of the student named them in the FIR. The deceased, Shourya Patil, died by suicide on Tuesday & left a note behind alleging harassment. In the suicide note recovered by the police, Shourya blamed his teachers for harassing him for the past one year. Broken by the death of their son, Shourya’s parents said that will be taking out protests outside the school.
In another incident a class 11 student of a private school in Semaria in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district died by suicide. The victim was found hanging in her home earlier this week. When officers searched her room, they found her mobile phone and a handwritten note tucked inside her notebook.She claimed the teacher would grab her hand while scolding or even hitting her, then ask whether her hand felt cold. The note’s mention of the particular teacher has become a key part of the investigation. Officers say they will only comment on his role once the inquiry is complete.
