If you recently submitted your SIR enumeration form to a Booth Level Officer (BLO) or submitted it online, you can now check for yourself whether your details have been uploaded to the ECI portal. The Election Commission (ECI) has provided a simple online process for this. In this article, we will explain the complete process.
What is an enumeration form?
It is a document that contains information collected door-to-door to create an official list of eligible voters. Through this form, the Election Commission of India (ECI) ensures that no eligible voter is left out and no ineligible person is included in the voter list. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) go door-to-door to distribute this form to voters and collect information. This form is often pre-filled. It contains the voter's name, EPIC number, address, and other details. Voters must update it by entering new information, such as a new photo, date of birth, mobile number, and Aadhaar number.
How to fill out the enumeration form:
1. Open the official website: First, open your browser and open voters.eci.gov.in.
2. Go to the Enumeration Form section: Click on the 'Fill Enumeration Form' option on the homepage.
3. If you are a new user, you will need to sign up. To do this, first click on Sign Up. Now, enter your mobile number, email address, and captcha if desired. Your registration will be complete.
4. If you are already registered, you can log in directly. Click on Login. Enter your mobile number and captcha here. Now, press Request OTP and enter the OTP when it appears.
5. Go back to the Enumeration Form page. After logging in, the homepage will open with your name. From here, click on Fill Enumeration Form again.
6. Now, enter your EPIC number. Enter your EPIC number (voter card number) in the box that appears.
7. Check the form status. Now click Search. The system will immediately tell you whether your form has been uploaded.
How to find out if your form has been uploaded
If your form has been uploaded, you will see a message saying: "Your form has already been submitted with mobile number XXXXX." This means your form has been uploaded to the portal through the BLO. If the form hasn't been uploaded, no confirmation will appear. A new form-filling page may open. If the details appear incorrect, someone else's mobile number appears, or the system shows "Submitted" even though the form hasn't been filled out, contact your BLO immediately.
Note:
The Election Commission has given BLOs a deadline of December 4th to upload all forms. If your status isn't visible yet, please wait a bit. In many locations, BLOs are uploading a large number of forms. If you have any problems, show your BLO the message or screenshot displayed on the website. This will help resolve your issue quickly.
